Delhi BMW Car Crash Accused Blood Test Negative for Alcohol: Medical Report (X)
Delhi BMW Car Crash: In a major development in the Delhi BMW car crash case, the accused, identified as Gaganpreet was arrested on Monday. The accused was sent to two days ' judicial custody. And now the report of the Delhi Police stated that the blood of the accused in case has tested negative for alcohol, according to a ANI report.
Gaganpreet, the accused was arrested on Monday. Allegedly, the BMW car she was driving hit a bike, killed a Finance Ministry official.
As per the reports, 52-year-old, Navjot Singh, an employee of the Ministry of Finance, was declared dead. Meanwhile, his wife sustained multiple injuries. After the accident, the victim’s family raised question in the handling of the car crash case. The FIR alleged that Gaganpreet took the victims, Navjot Singh and his wife Sandeep Kaur, more than 19 kilometres away from the accident site, to a healthcare facility. In the FIR, they also alleged that Gaganpreet and her husband were given treatment prior to the Navjot and his wife despite being seriously injured.
The victim's lawyer, Ishan Dewan, talking to ANI, said, "The police demanded judicial custody and not police custody. The court has granted judicial custody for two days. The lawyer of the accused has moved a bail application today... What is important right now is that the unfortunate incident that has happened should not happen again... We will present all facts in the court... It was not just an accident of two minutes. It was an episode of a couple of hours. The decision they took was not to take the victim to a hospital, which was a minute away; instead, he was taken far away. This shows their mental and decision-making condition. We will ensure that this is presented to the court properly.”
It is to be noted here that Gagandeep in her statement said that was returning from Gurugram, with her husband, two kids and her maid. “During further interrogation, she could not recall the cause of the accident. She stated that the public took her out of the vehicle,” ANI stated the police as saying.
